1.
Please evaluate your language proficiency on your arrival
in Finland (only 21 questionnaires)

The majority of the students did not speak Finnish at the
arrival in Finland. The one student from Morocco who
answered she knew Finnish fluently probably misunderstood
the question and should be placed in the “non”
or “poor” group instead which can be deduced
from the way she filled in her questionnaire (she used the
questionnaire in Finnish).
2.
Where and how did you learn Finnish? (multiple
answers, only 21 Questionnaires)

*Those
who didn't answer the question were attending a language
course in Jyväskylä
(Survival Finnish, Finnish 2 or Finnish 3) which means that
they have also learning Finnish at the host university's
language courses.
3.
Which language course are you attending now? (multiple
answers, only 21 questionnaires)

Those students who were learning Finnish at a higher level
usually attended more than one class (two students attended
Finnish 4 and 5, one Finnish 4, 5 and a writing course,
and one student attended Finnish 4 and studied with the
help of web courses).
